Andrea, resources

Manipulative Hotlinks:

http://www.learningthings.com/
This is a good link because it gives teachers many different options to choose from. There are complete grade level curriculum sets, foreign language Cd's, hands on activities such as computer training, Arts & Crafts, History, Language Arts collections and so on. Teachers can buy the activity set they want and use it for a variety of different lesson plans.

This link is nice for Science teachers because it displays a lot of different experiments that teachers or students can perform. If a teacher needs an experiment to do about engineering, using the five senses, force & energy, sound, water, structure and so on, this is a very good site to be referred to.

http://resources.kaboose.com/games/read1.html
This last site is good for teachers who are involved with Language Arts and Reading. This website includes online games that students can play to improve their reading skills. It is a fun way for students to become engaged in a learning or writing.

*All of these manipulatives can be used in the classroom to help students learn the required standards for each lesson. I tried to find a variety of different manipulative's; activities, online games and experiments that differ from normal textbook curriculum. These manipulative's are fun and can be used to engage students of all ages.

Good for you to explore different types of manipulative websites.

Okay, the first one is more commercial type, and the second one is interesting for science projects, and the last one is for gaming.

Good to know various resources as well as to think different uses. How to integrate some of these into curriculum (connect to the concent you'd like to teach) will be the next challenge. Keep working on it. Good job.
